A native of the Twin Cities of Minnesota, John and his wife, Linda, moved to Las Vegas in 2009.
John achieved an AAS degree in general business and a BA degree in Accounting/Finance. His career in
accounting and positions as controller spanned several industries, including construction, tax accounting,
geothermal, and retail with the Dayton Hudson Corp.
He is a member in good standing of the Institute of Management Accountants and serves on the board of
the Las Vegas Chapter. He writes a monthly column called Nevada News for the Minnesota Street Rod
Association where he served as their Treasurer. He also served as Treasurer for the North Hennepin
Mediation Program in Minnesota.
He enjoys classic automobiles and is a member of the Las Vegas Cruisin’ Association. John is an avid
reader of Stephan King, enjoys cooking and trying new recipes, walking the parks around the Las Vegas
valley and playing tennis. Above all else, he is a dyed-in-purple fan of the Minnesota Vikings.
